Kevin Dekkers has been Coaching Soccer and Physical Education to Children for over 20 years. He has a wealth of Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience. He has a fantastic ability to make Physical Activity Fun and Safe for kids and his sessions have always been wildly popular wherever in the World he has been Teaching.

He has built up a strong reputation over the years by providing fun, energetic, creative, inspiring and motivational ways for kids to enjoy Physical Activity in many different forms and styles.. His main expertise is in Soccer Coaching and Physical Education but he is also a qualified Capoeira Instructor. He holds a degree in Sports and Physical Education from the Institute of Sports in Cardiff, a Diploma in Fitness and Health promotion from Algonquin College and a Canadian National C Soccer Coaching License.

Coach Kevin

Was born in 1980 in rural West Cork in the South West of Ireland.

He has been playing soccer from the age of 5. Training with Cork City at the age of 17 and then playing with his University in Cardiff. Where he gained a BSc in Sports and Physical Education.

After moving to the Island of St.Maarten in the Carribean in 2004 he began Coaching Soccer at a local club and as well as with various school teams. He has also worked as a Public School Gym teacher on the island for 10 years.

During his time in the Carribean and now in Canada he has constantly been upgrading his Soccer and Physical Education knowledge and experience including learning from and meeting such legends as Johan Cryuff. He is now in Toronto with his family has coached Soccer at F.C. Barcelona Escola Toronto, Toronto High Park F.C., Dutch Connections and he is also the CEO and Head Coach at Swansea Soccer Clinic. swanseasoccerclinc.com

Coaching and Philosophy

Coach Kevin believes that exercise should be fun, eductaional and exciting. Children should be looking forward to their next gym class and should always leave rosy cheeked and with a smile. Physical Activity offers such a fanatstic opportunity to teach kids so many important and fundamental skills as well as allowing them to explore many possibilities and avenues. Not only do sports and physical activity games develop cordination, balance, strength, endurance, perserverance etc. but they also help to develop the well documented 4 corners of Childhood Development, aspects such as Social, Cognitive and Emotional development. Adventure, Exploration and Appreciation are massive parts of the Coaches philosophy and are always incorporated into the lessons.
